Why worry? Shel and I are not taking ourselves too seriously at this point. He told me that he had trillions of songs and I said, "You know what, share it." In the end somebody might laugh, someone might sing it at their school dance or share it with classmates and maybe even break out a guitar and rattle it out in a teary state after a bad breakup! Come on....it's what we do with corny songs anyway.
After his teens, you would be amazed at the writer that he has become. Everyone is! One way or the other I will get him to share his more recent lyrics, but for now, we do this all in good fun. Think of it as clearing out our factory to make way for new stock!
...So, if you know of any teenagers that like music and might be up for the challenge, tell them to use some of these lyrics! We would love to see what they come up with. Send us or post up their performance. Honestly, nothing would be better. Can't wait for Friday...
