The Price of Admission to Heaven written by Sheldon Manoo (11/02/14)

You think you can buy your way to salvation
Maybe you’ll pay your way to Heaven
Maybe that’s not how it’s done
That’s not how it’s done

Me, I know I’ve done wrong things
I pray from time to time for mercy
In my short time I’ve seen things
Does life work the same way for everybody?
For I’ve noticed and I’ve heard
How cruel people been to others
From many different walks of life
Cain killed Abel who was his brother!
Makes me wonder!
I really wonder!

So when you rob a nation of its innocence
And connive someone from their claim
And spill blood without any conscience
Where is your destination and your aim?
What is the value of life?
I’m asking this of the killers
I’m suggesting a minimum rate
At least one million US dollars
So if you take one life
You’ll be set for a long time
Maybe the rest of your cold heartless life
And use it to buy your way to salvation

The child molesters and the pedophiles
Rapers, buggers and the dopers
What kind of thoughts cross your mind
When you make the vulnerable silently scream and suffer
Those who do one wrong condemns another
There’s corrupted foundation in the societal structure
The per-miters of slackness are the law upholders
The sin seem more done by the podium and pulpit actors
Who believe they can bribe their way to salvation
And connive their way to Heaven

I’m not one to point my finger
I just try to walk along a righteous path
I don’t pretend to be something I’m not
I strive to be at one in mind and heart
Yes I do have my humanly faults
But I try to give hope to humanity
But some humans have pillaged their minds
And left their souls with no human decency
Believing they can buy their spot in Heaven

For the true God operates with logic and reason.
