Oh summer came and found me standing in the midst of the open road
A sash slung around my shoulder and an even heavier load
A man alone walking nowhere to get some place
Hasn't had a bath four days and hair all over his face

He used to b e somebody's father
He used to be somebody's lover
He used to be somebody
In some way or the other
I know he's somebody's son
He's got to be somebody's only one
And somebody somewhere thinks
He's a whole lotta fun

(Music)

When we encountered he snarls and stares into my eyes
Says you better beware cause if you don't realise
This territory here belongs to me and
This is not where you'll enjoy to be man

He sat me down, offered piece of his stale bread
Told me about the thoughts running 'round in his head

(Solo)

Winter came and found me safe and warm
Lying in my old bedroom
Grateful for the words of wisdom
Coming from one of society's fools'

{When you're tired of running, You gotta rest your weary head} rtf
