She’s walking out the door,

With her suitcase and

  Saxophone in hand,

I used to love to hear her

Her play the blues,

She’s leaving me for sure

I don’t know why but I understand

All she seems to have are walking shoes

I remember the good nights

Listening to her play

Hoping she’ll find a way

                          To fame

I stuck it out

Cause I believed in her

She was a shining star

                           Neon name

            Now I hear her blues

            Ringing in my head

            Felt like part of me

            Has just gone dead

            My soul wears a smile

            For the memory

            I’ll forever wonder

            Where he will be

Cruel folks say she’ll never

Be entertainer of the year

If she wanna be a star

Play that sax in her underwear

They told her all kinds of things

That made her broke and cried

She said she was so lucky

To have me by her side

They were the warmest days

    That she ever knew

I was the kindest guy

    Who was always true

She said , if I could love you, I would

But I just can’t seem to love that good

And I know I’m leading you into a heartache later

So take it now and baby you’ll be better faster

I don’t want my life to cause you pain here or ever after

But I know you’re in love with me and there’ll be slight disaster

But you can’t change my mind

I’ve done it too many times

But you know I’ll do a song for you

Cause you’re dear to me and among a few

And I’ll play it with all my soul boy,

And maybe your song will make me, A Star!
