AFTER SCHOOL written by Sheldon Manoo (1996)

I see the streams that we used to walk down to in the evenings, after school

I see the dreams that we all used to be believing

When we all would hang together

Boys to men, brother to brother

We sure had some high hopes man!

And some big dreams there in our hand

But how were we supposed to know

We’d grow apart as we grow

But since we can’t turn back time

Don’t keep the past in your mid, or you’d find!

That you’re just feeling down

And won’t want to come around, any longer!

Now I walk beside my dream

I can feel it right beneath my skin

And if they keep skipping by

I’d chase them forever or until I win

Don’t you know you are!

All part of my big dream

If you want to be a star

You got to send out your beam

And I’d always believe in and love you

Do you feel the same for me too?

I’m happy when you’re at your highest peak

You should stay there forever strong never weak

Don’t ever lose sleep!

And don’t forget your true friends like me…Ohhh

(Solo)

Yes I see the city that we used to walk into in the evenings after school

And it’s got no pity so if you don’t build your dreams then you’re that fool

That we used to look at and laugh at in the bar

Do you remember that far?

Well don’t think too hard cause it’s way after school

Now we can make our own rules!
