I was lying on my bed listening to the radio

Trying to write this song

Then a song started to play on the radio

And it inspired this here one

            You see I was thinking ‘bout this girl I met

            The talk we had I just couldn’t forget

In the words of the song the singer said

And I was thinking ‘bout her and me

 

            Oh the song on the radio

            It was touching and so slow

            It made me think about her

            Hope she heard it too

            Hope she thought about me

            While she heard the song on the radio!

She always said she loved to listen to that station

It was the one that played her favourite songs

So while I laid there on my bed

And let the words flow through my soul

I wondered if she was sitting or lying somewhere

Also letting her heart absorb the words

I hope that line made her think of me when

I started to wonder, started to cry

I wondered who wrote that song

Were they thinking of this here guy
