Acapella :No I won’t wear a seat belt any more

Music in:

Well the car dealers , and the bumper sticker, and the law makers,

They all say to put on your seat belt;

Well there was a time when I’d listen to those voices

Yeah I would not make my own choices

I would just go with what was the norm

I used to be just like anyone

Until one time I was in my partners’ car

We won’t even going so fast

But we had our seat belts on

We were safe so we drove on

Wooh no, there was a bump in the road

I hit the car roof and went out cold

For a minute or two____

Opened my eyes and to my despise

We were tumbling we swore we’d die

They say seat belts save lives

But my best friend died

While that car tumbled around

We couldn’t get that seatbelt out

And when that engine sparked

I had to get out fast

I still can hear him screaming

While that car was just burning, burning

Solo

Well this ain’t easy to shake

But I’d rather be able to escape

No I won’t wear seat belts again

Don’t want to be like my friend

And when I see those stupid signs on some cars

I shake my head and tell myself forget that

Though seatbelts maybe saved some lives

It sure didn’t do much for mine

I was lucky enough to get off mine fast

But my best friend didn’t get a chance

So I won’t wear a seat belt any more!
