Someone like you

Can take the night

And turn it into day

When one really need the dark!

And someone like you

Will offer your help

To someone in need

That doesn’t ease the burden of their heart!

Been looking for a hero

Been looking for a friend

Someone with an answer

For confusion to end

But you

Where you been all my life?

                What have you sacrificed?

Where you been all my life?

Why do I pay the price?

                And if tomorrow don’t come

                Yesterday you’d have run

                Far away from my tack

                Well wherever you were

                I tell it to ya’

                Just get the hell back!

                SOLO

I heard stories

Of one who takes a situation

Blows it out of proportion

Removes themselves from the equation

I never dreamed

I’d be in that shoe

Of the victim who

Blame themselves for what they didn’t do

I thought you were my hero

I hold you as a friend

Thought you’d be the reason

My pains would all end

But you made them magnified

Of you I’m terrified

Please find yourself back

To where you been all my life

Threw me off my track

And my soul is paralyzed
