SINNERS N’ SAINTS written by Sheldon Manoo (1995)

PLEASE NOTE THAT ANYONE CAN USE THESE LYRICS FREE OF CHARGE, ALL WE ASK IS TO CREDIT THE BLOG AND PLEASE IF POSSIBLE MAKE A DONATION!

Is there hope for any time?

When all is does is boggle your mind

The people who are teaching

And reaching

And preaching

Calling for repentance

Giving you guidance

Are all the rebels of the earlier days

They’re the sinners who deem themselves saints

Cause the sinners of today are the saints of tomorrow

We all are trying to save the world from sorrow

And the saints of here and now are the sinners of yesterday

And you all gotta believe for it’s only truth I say

Save my soul tonight!

(Solo)

There’s an old man who lives down the street

He’s a fun fella if you ever meet

He says when you’re young, hey do what you please

You may not have the balls if you get ole like me

And though I tried to take his advice

I don’t know I kinda like being good and nice

Are all the sins ever forgiven?

Do all good people go to Heaven?

What about the killers and the rapists and the bandits?

They’re young now , when they’re old, will they be saints?

Or is there a certain extent your sin can go?

If you want to be a saint when you grow?

I don’t know I just don’t know!

Oh Lord have mercy on my wicked soul!

Can you set my mind back in control!

You see right now I’m kinda like a saint

There’s nothing good that I ain’t

You see I’m young now

But when I get old

Will I be a sinner?

Or will I stay saint for ever?
